12. Additional Disclosures

12.1. Data Retention Practices

We retain your personal data only as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide our Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. The retention periods vary depending on the type of data and the purpose of processing. When the data is no longer needed for the stated purpose, we securely delete or anonymize it.

We retain precise location data and installed apps data only as long as it is necessary to deliver core functionality to the parent user and improve our Services, after which it is automatically deleted or aggregated. Contact data is retained while the account is active and deleted upon request or after prolonged inactivity.

12.2. Precise Location Data Collection

We collect and process precise location data (e.g., GPS) of the child’s device through the “sFamily: for children” app to allow the parent to monitor their child’s location and receive notifications. The location data is collected only with user consent and can be disabled through device settings. We only retain this data for as long as it is necessary to provide our Services, and it is not shared with third parties except as required by law or explicitly authorized by the user.

12.3. Device ID Collection

We collect device identifiers such as Android ID, Advertising ID (IDFA/GAID), and virtual device ID to ensure functionality, prevent fraud, improve security, and analyze performance. These IDs may also be used for analytics and diagnostics purposes. You can reset your Advertising ID via your device settings.

12.4. Installed Apps Collection

We collect a list of installed applications on the child’s device, including app name, package ID, installation date, and usage duration. This data is used to provide parental control functionality in the “sFamily” app. The parent can view and restrict app usage on the child’s device. We do not share this data with third parties.

12.5. Sensitive Personal Information Collection

We may collect sensitive personal information such as location data, contact list data, activity or fitness data, and device microphone input. These are collected only when necessary for the core functionality of the Services, such as child location monitoring, parental alerts, emergency contact features, and usage limitation. Collection is always based on user consent and limited to the minimum necessary scope.
